"Read Only" is not an option in SE2, and I don't think it was in earlier versions either. It seems likely that you saved them as "Run Only" applications, and the whole intent of "Run Only" is to protect content. There are probably ways to decompile what you have, but the Script Editor won't do it.

Hi Everyone,
I have a hand full of scripts that won't open anymore within Script Editor. These scripts were for a small project and I have the apps copy but they are only saved as read only. The scripts I saved so I would have them for future reference if I needed them but now they won't open.
Does anyone know of a fix? I made the scripts under 10.3.9 probably using Script Editor 2.0 but if you drag the scripts or double click them they freeze script editor.
If I open the scripts up in a text editor they are all jibberish where the code lies, but the description of the code is fine.
I tried different versions of Script Editor in 10.3 and 10.4 and have had no luck. Tried deleting pref files for script editor and still no luck.
Any ideas? Anyone ever seen this before?
Thanks,
Dan
