Earlier this afternoon I posted a message regarding scripting folder attachments to Apple mail. Within a few minutes I received an email back from the forum server telling me that the mailbox was full and to please try later.

Figured it might have been something like that, Bob. However, it may be worth pointing out that the list server is hardly ever the culprit in such circumstances. Often, the problem is caused by some individual list member who isn't emptying their mailbox. For example, I'm currently getting this message whenever I post to the list:

Sorry. Your message could not be delivered to:

Christian Vick (Mailbox or Conference is full.)

Irritating - but something I try to ignore until either the member or the list mom (*please*) takes appropriate action.

If you're in digest mode, it can take some time to determine whether or not your messages are actually getting through to the list. If in doubt, you could check here:

http://lists.apple.com/archives/applescript-users/

However, it's worth waiting a while before taking further action. Some of my posts have taken several hours to appear - even though, usually, they get through within a few seconds. (I'm sure you'll appreciate why folks might reasonably conclude that repeated messages are spam - even when they result from a misunderstanding such as this.)

Now I may just sit back and wait for my next message from Mailer- email@hidden... <sigh> ;-)
