- Thread-topic: Applescript saved scripts won't open anymore
Well the problem was the scripts did specific events on a remote computer using Apple Events. Worked really well but that system doesn't run anymore but I still wanted the scripts for reference and stuff. When trying to open the scripts within OS X I think it tries to compile the script first and couldn't find the remote machine and it just wouldn't time out and open the script, which is really stupid! I had to go back to OS 9 and open them back up and print them.
A Brett Conlon emailed me saying something similiar and he was right. And also this email from Mark Lively is along the same line as well.
Thanks all for the quick response and help!

Broken aliases can cause this. 10.3 (I think) caused scripts with
aliases to invalid locations not to open in script editor.
I think I filed a bug report on this. Another one would always help.
