Yes, it was broken in 10.4.0. I suspect that it was broken because starting with 10.4, there is a master signature file and each account can have its own signature collection from the master file. Apparently, no one considered the Applescript interaction when making this change. I had reported it as bug 4239921, and it's marked as a duplicate too.


I have a hunch that it won't be fixed until 10.5.
