Three InDesign scripting questions

Hi, any experienced inDesign scripters out there?

On my mac if I put a script in the Script's folder in the plug-ins folder, I can see it in and run it from the Scripts palette, but if anyone else does that on their macs, it doesn't show up. In the configure plugins we turned on
> Script Label Panel.framework
> Scripting.Framework
> Scripts Panel.framework
>
And relaunched inDesign, but still no joy. Any suggestions?

Second question, does inDesign have a scripts menu? (If it does, I can't find it)

Third question from the user interface I can see all the xmp/IPTC header information, but from a script there are only 14 records available, and, the one record I need ("Transmission Reference") isn't included. Is it possible to get that from a script within inDesign?

Thanks

ES
