Any other list members working on Aperture at the moment?

Looks like a pro app with an amateur dictionary to me :(

There are a couple of things that are really bugging me about this app:

1. The object model doesn't resemble the structure of the database - so you
can't do the simplest things like count the total number of images in the
library etc.

2. The image data doesn't include the physical location of the master files
so you are forced to use *export* to get images scripted out of the app (see
4).

3. I can't see any AS methods which enable you to do anything with a
selection in the GUI. (And it looks to me as if the Aperture API doesn't
have any Accessibility features either).

4. There also appears to be a big fat bug in the export function too. It
removes little bits of the EXIF data, including quite important stuff like:

    ShutterSpeedValue
    ApertureValue
    LightSource
    FocalLengthIn35mmFilm
    ISOSpeedRating

Which are all visible in the application, but missing from the exported TIFF
or PSDs.

I appreciate that Apple folks are busy making these things *universal*, but
surely they could give some junior staff the task of adding a few basic
AppleScript features...
