I'd be interested - sounds like a very good plan for scripts to be sent elsewhere.

A little background: I keep all my third-party scripting additions in
my user scripting additions folder. A 'Disable User Scripting
Additions' applet runs at login, and moves any files in that folder
to a nearby 'ScriptingAdditions (Disabled)' folder. While scripting,
I run a 'Switch User Scripting Additions' script - to enable/disable
scripting additions as required. (It just makes osax management less
troublesome. It also helps to reduce the risk of inadvertently
producing a *supposedly* vanilla script - that actually relies on
third-party functions.)

All this makes light work of testing for stuff like the above. (And
fortunately, my first guess was Satimage, anyway.) :-)

(Since the above scripts were written some time back, and for my
personal use, they're a bit rough - but still work fine. The switcher
routine is rather lengthy, so I won't post it here unsolicited.
However, if anyone thinks they might find the scripts useful, let me
know.)
