Still, in the case of applets the wrapper should be native, so I
think Donald's question is a valid one. The last thing you want when
you are launching an AppleScript is for the *wrapper app* to be
slower than it needs to be.
Donald: I would hope that Script Editor would be updated to save
applets and applet bundles as universal apps by default. However,
this doesn't appear to be the case in 10.4.4 - Script Editor 2.1.1
(81). I think it's worth reporting this as a bug, since Apple has
given other developers the tools they need to "go native" ahead of
time, but in the case of these AppelScript applets, it seems they may
have made an oversight.
