Origins aren't always what they appear to be.
I have received several e-mail messages from fubar e-mail accounts that
state that the message i have sent contains a virus. Since I have not
EVER sent any e-mail these fubar e-mail accounts, i must presume that
the messages originate from some other fubar computers (with said
virus) that have my e-mail address in their address books and that my
e-mail address was forged there as the return address. So, just because
you receive spam here, it does not mean that your e-mail address was
harvested here. (These e-mails were received by one of my other e-mail
addresses, although, I have received some spam here, I do not recall
ever receiving any spam while I was subscribed to .mac.com)

Sorry for the off-topic post, there are several mac.com subscribers
here, I've started receiving spam at my mac.com address with several
mac.com addresses in the Cc field, like if someone at Apple was
selling our addresses, did anyone else here get that too?
I haven't had any spam, at all on this account, and this is the
account I use for this and other mail
