[OT] My life after AS ... perl!

  • Subject: [OT] My life after AS ... perl!

Hi all,

After the responses I received, I finally decided to go with perl. After a couple of really busy hours, I was able to replace my clunky applescript with a bunch of perl lines that are incredibly faster and more powerful. The other advantage is that I can now ssh from anywhere and go on with my work in progress.

And I, like many others before, have discovered ...

... THE ULTIMATE POWER OF OBFUSCATION :D

Although a programmer who doesn't suffer from mental illness needs a code that speaks for itself, it is fun at first to write once and never read back. Want to impress someone at a diner party? Throw a bunch of complex perl lines!

Thanks to all who responded.
