The result of 'choose folder' in Standard Additions is an alias
(even though
you and I know that it must also be a folder since 'choose folder' doesn't
let you pick a file).
Note that (OMM, G4/10.4.4) "choose folder" lets you "select" (in
the sense: show in inverse video) several folders in the list,
while it will (as stated in the dictionary) return only one.
On this point "navchoose folder" available in Satimage.osax is better.
Bonjour Emmanuel
Hello all of you
I can't check under Tiger but, under 10.3.9,
set liste to choose folder with multiple selections allowed
returns a list like this one:
{alias "Macintosh HD:Users:yvankoenig:Documents:basket :",
alias "Macintosh HD:Users:yvankoenig:Documents:AppleWorks User Data:",
alias "Macintosh HD:Users:yvankoenig:Documents:Adobe Reader:"}
My remark was about the other form, "choose folder" tout court
(where by default multiple selections allowed is false.)
vi
