indexInListOfItem(aList, aItem) -- entire code

i like to see code -- it helps me learn.
attached is the source code which produces the error message when called by my withoutDotsAndFinalUppers(aText) subcall valueInDictOfKey(a reference to gFinalsDict, zUnicode).

the routine works properly when called from dictFromPlist(aPlist).

note: asking PlistEdit Pro to search by name is a slow execution but I may have to resort to it.
