Hi Gary, the list,
It seems that I wasn't clear enough. The window position is {0,22} (top
left), but the bottom of the window is far, far below the bottom of my
screen. This is a bug 'cause with a click in the zoom (green) button
does not show me the bottom of the window. Using AppleScript to change
the window bounds does not works too.
But after some restarts (standard restart after shutdown and hours
between them), I was able to resize correctly the window height.
TIA,
Emile

Hi Emile
<snip>
did you know how I can resize "to the original hardware screen" ?
Based on a limited test I've just done, I think this might work for you.
With your monster Finder window in the foreground, select
Go > Go to Folder...
I think this will cause Finder to move the window down the screen when it
draws the field into which you would normally
type a folder address. When it does this, you should be able to grab the
brushed metal area of the title bar and drag the window back into
captivity. Once you have done that, click on [Cancel] and your window
should stay put - with the "traffic light" controls
within reach.

Gary
