Thank you all !
Everyone of you have given me very good suggestions and I will try them out
to see which one works best for me.
This challenge has already helped me getting started with grep syntax, Björn
got me to think about using the stat command, Emmanuel made me finally start
trying out Satimage, which I realize will be a great asset in the future,
Gnarlie's example is not only very useful, it actually convinced me that I
might be able to learn a little bit of sed :-) and Chris' perl example is
not only extremely useful, but the additional info for the find command will
be a lot of help for me, not only for this, but for all future uses of the
find command
It is such a great learning experience to be on this list and I am
constantly amazed by the powerful tools that exist, and the skill with which
you are able to handle them.
Thank you all for kindly sharing!
/ Richard
