You can use the command line application unzip to do this.

do shell script "unzip 'path/to/file' "

Hi,

(The list search engine appears to be overburdened again, my apologies if this has been recently answered.)

I am working on a script that unzips a series of files. The problem is that I can't tell when the unzip has finished if I just open the document in the Finder (which is how Script Editor records this activity). I want to delete the original after a file unzips. Is there a way to tell AppleScript to wait until the Unzip process finishes before deleting the file?

Thanks,
-Chilton
