Thanks for that Gary!
All images are external files that should
reside wholly in one folder, "Images", in our job folders. However
I can't guarantee that the designer has done what they were supposed to
and has placed all images in there. Also sometimes logos are referenced
from our Server so there's another location again.
What I really need is for XPress to
provide a variable value of all linked files (like what the Picture Usage
pallette does) then to be able to search the properties of each of these
files for the RGB color space.
I'm trying a few things but I'm not
too familiar with the syntax for XPress or how to translate it over from
the dictionary to something useable.

Do the images live inside Quark, or in the file system (and are referenced
by Quark)?
If Quark doesn't provide for such a task, then since we're on the subject
of
'sips', you can use that tool and/or Image Events.
