Hi all,

Has someone already noted any trouble with osaxen and Intel MacBook Pros or iMacs ?

I am a big user of 24u's appearance osax (great for better dialogs and progress bars - why did Apple never implement those...)

Hi Jay,

Scripting additions must be compiled as universal binary to work on Intel Macs. This is because OSAXen are effectively plug-ins and plug-ins share the same runtime environment as the application they plug to. Since AppleScript itself runs natively on Intel (except for inside applications that run under Rosetta), also OSAXen have to be able to run natively to be available for all applications.

As far as 24U OSAXen are affected, we are working hard to release updated versions that will run natively on Intel Macs. The first will be 24U Appearance OSAX which is currently in the final stage of development and scheduled to be released later in March. Email OSAX and Hex OSAX updates will follow soon.

Hope this helps...
