Script Editor malfunction

Does anyone else out there run into the issue of Script Editor not opening dictionaries? I'm having this happen all the time now. I log out and log in again and it'll open a dictionary, but after that it won't. Doesn't matter if I do it from the library or use the menu for Open Dictionary and get the whole list. It just doesn't open them. Anyone else ever get this?
System is OS 10.4.5.
