Ali Ozer at Apple offers a free utility to read EXIF data. It's called EXIF
Viewer. Version 2.5 is a universal binary released a month ago.

Let me say for the record that I didn't mind the long legal legend at the
bottom of your message at all. I know that many employers mandate such
things for legal reasons, and I find it very easy to ignore them down there
at the bottom of an otherwise useful message.

By contrast, I am unable to ignore replies from people complaining about
these legends. I have to open the reply to find out whether it contains
important information -- only to discover that it's useless carping. I think
we should encourage scripters to communicate with the list from work as well
as home, as none of us has the slightest chance of changing these employers'
e-mail policies. And we should discourage people from sending off-topic
replies under the false pretense of replying to an important on-topic
message.
