No, this is not possible. I've filed a feature request here and I'll get
this into a future version.

This is an AppleScript rather then a Script Debugger bug. In this case,
AppleScript insists on applying its own formatting to the path portion of an
alias literal.

SD3 had this to a degree, but I find that the state of a script (i.e. does
it have an open handler), and the thing that you are dropping (app vs
document) changes the meaning of the drop action significantly. How do you
want this kind of a preference to work?
