Yvan is, I think, spot on.
If you download Smile (a free AppleScript programming environment), you will
find that getting data from/to a browser is no problem; drawing a chart
(simple or complex) is quite easy "out of the box"; you will have a number
of AppleScript treats that you didn't have before.
Smile produces graphs which can immediately be saved as PDF, or can be
inserted into FileMaker (or other graphics program). Smile could even
"plop" [1] your data into Excel for you, if you prefer that kind of tool for
chart-making.
