Check for already mounted AFP network volume

Hey all,

AppleScript newbie here and I have a question about doing a "sanity" check for a volume before attempting to mount it via an "open location" command. I've tried the following so far:

if not {exists volume "share"} then

But when it does a syntax check, it gives me the following syntax error:

Expected “, ” or “}” but found “.

Then it highlights the first quotation mark (") before 'share'.

Any ideas? I've Googled this to death and have hit a wall. Let me know if you need more information or code. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Jonathan Piccolo
