Script Bundle Tool does not read/write preference files. I was only commenting on the technique of reading/writing any .plist file. In this case the .plist files are the bundle's 'Info.plist' file.

Except for the massive problem of the system deleting your preference
file, which is what this entire conversation was about. I think that's
more than "slight."
