Hi,

I would like to write a script that deletes the font cache for the logged on user. The cache is held in Library/caches/com.apple.ATS/ and then a folder 501, 502 etc. How can I find out which number the logged on user is?

On my machine the environment-variable UID is set.
Question is, how do one access environment variables from applescript?
A quick look in 'The definitive guide' did not reveal anything obvius to me.

set The_UID to do shell script "echo $UID"

would perhaps work
