We seem to be talking at cross purposes. We're talking about URL Access from Apple™. You may be thinking of a Platonic™ software product. Platonic™ software is great. Even though every version of the software is imperfect in some way you always imagine an ideal representation of it. :-)


You really should try to associate URL Access with something else in your imagination, for example, wet cardboard. Then, when you find yourself wondering why some FTP tasks are failing, you can say to yourself, "I can't help thinking that wet cardboard would not exist if it did not work at all."
