How to mount a volume?

If an external drive (firewire in this specific case) has been unmounted, you can mount it with disk utility.  It shows up in the left panel, and you can then click on the "Mount" button or use the Mount command in the File menu (or its keyboard shortcut) to mount it.

Is it possible to mount it with an Applescript?
