I think you're missing the idea of "r/o" or "read only".

These values do not get set or cleared through AS, and that's what the
dictionary is indicating.

You can get the values (which is useful for all sorts of reasons, as per the
context) but you can not change them via AS code. (These values may get
altered by the FM application, of course, and then AS can still 'get' (read)
them.
