Shutdown - getting past FileVault Dialog Box?
Shutdown - getting past FileVault Dialog Box?

For years, I've shut down using a simple script tied to a particular
keystroke.
Since I activated FileVault on my system, sometimes the shut-down
process generates a dialog box at the end about FileVault wanting to
know whether to recover unused space at this time....
Unfortunately, but the time the dialog appears, I've already walked
away, so the system keeps running until my return, awaiting a
response to the question.
A quick search of the AS dictionary for the Finder tells me that no
new parameters exist to address this parameter/dialog (at least that
I've found).
So today's questions:
(A) Is there either a simple way to tell FileVault (which doesn't
appear scriptable) to compress in advance of the shutdown command, to
avoid the dialog, OR
(B) Respond to the dialog box if it pops up within the script
(problematic, as the finder has ended other tasks, including I would
suppose the actual AS script), OR
(C) Instruct either FileVault to either not display the dialog box?
Any insight appreciated... Maybe Chris Nebel has some insight.
Cheers,
