While I'd love to take credit for that, it's actually all due to the Speech Synthesis folks. I'll pass it along, however. Remember, just because you invoke something from AppleScript doesn't mean that the AppleScript team wrote it.

Oh! So the Speech Synthesis folk wrote the code so that "a duplicate" and "to duplicate" would sound different ?!
I thought *this* was coded by you guys.
Well, if you send my compliments to them, pass Michelle's points along.
I do not know how many times I've "spelled checked" my text via Speech. And, anytime I have a question about pronunciation in English, I "AppleScript it".
Thanks for putting the technology there (although, I could ask for some improvements in the "SpeechRecognitionServer" I've written some cool and useful scripts, but they are not very reliable).
