Prevent Canceling

Hi,

This is a nagging problem. I have a droplet that runs constantly, monitoring a folder on a network volume for new files (and trying to mount the volume if it's not available, gracefully waiting for a time before trying again).

The problem is the script can be disrupted by a simple "command-period" from the user.

If the script happens to be inside an error trap when the user cancels, it can leave it's work half finished, which causes problems.

So, is there anyway to prevent users from canceling a running script? (I used Hypercard or Prefab Plaer as workarounds in OS 9, but can't use them in OS 10.
