Thanks a lot, this is close to perfection!!! But: the given voltage is the battery voltage, not the voltage of the power supply. For the latter, only the power itself is given in Watts. I will have to compare several supplys for a test, including car-supplies, solar- supplies etc. It would be extremely helpful to record all data (voltage and amperage seperate) with apple script. Any more hints?

set PDT to (do shell script "system_profiler SPPowerDataType")
Voltage (mV): 12xxx will be among the available data.

For more system_profiler info see man system_profiler and try
system_profiler -listDataTypes

Hi,

does anyone know if is it possible to read out the current voltage of
the power supply of an iBook, Powerbook or MacBook? Ideally via
apple script, but any hints are welcome!

Thanks,
Frank Renner
