I agree. If this is meant to be an exclusive club, fine - then
announce it to be so and convince Apple that they should host it.
many of those who might agree with Martin could manage to host a list
of this size - there'd be a significant reduction in traffic, after
all. Unlike John, many of us 'lurkers' won't attempt to post dummy
contributions, so the bandwidth required for a private 'AppleScript
Mensa' site will be strictly for the cogneseti and therefore not
difficult for any one of them to handle.

But there is a lot of information I get even from stuff I don't care about.
Now, if it will make you feel better, I can set up an autoping that will
post once every <period that makes Martin happy>, but it's going to be
nothing but an entry from my random sig file.
So I'll be posting, it'll just be nothing having to do with AppleScript. But
it will be a post within some arbitrarily silly time period.
