Hello:
I've been working on a script that - on occasion - throws an error I
can't seem to trap. When the error occurs, something, somewhere with
AppleScript in my usual user account gets 'upset'... and neither quitting
Script Editor, logging out, restarting nor even basic system maintenance
will correct the problem. A simpler handler within the script - that
normally runs flawlessly as a standalone, and that I use to 'confirm' the
error condition - will also fail without apparent reason.
Migrating everything to another user account or another machine seems to
rectify the problem... the main script and separate handler work without
complaint... or at least without presenting the unrecoverable situation.
I'm wondering what I might be able to trash in my main admin account that
will 'reset' things so I can get along with work?
Sorry this is so vague... I would post the script in question, but it
runs to at least a couple of hundred lines, and requires some rather
involved prep in order to test at all.
Any clues as to remedies or related experiences would be very welcome.
Thanks.
Peter B.
