Hello,

A while back Malcom helped me tidy up a simple script that recorded the path of a file.  It's been a great tool to help people quickly share documents in our small network (7 machines).  Occasionally, one of the machines will ad a "-1", or "-2" after the name of our mounted share point.  So the file path should read "~/Volumes/Client%Files", but ends up as "~/Volumes/Client%Files-1".

Of course, this hinders the links convenience.  I have tried searching that machine for an alias of the "Client Files" volume that it may be using, and a few other things, but haven't been able to get it.  I realize this may be more of a network question, but I thought others may have experienced this and had a way to correct it.

thanks!

Bryan Walton
