I didnt know that..? how do you do that?
Well, now that you ask the question, I don't know. I recall reading
that it was possible, but maybe I'm hallucinating. Or just
misremembering something I read about a different OS...
As far as I know, it's not possible to redefine where the Desktop
folder is. What you may be thinking of is changing the location of a
user's home folder, which you can do using NetInfo Manager (in /
Applications/Utilities). I've seen scripts that assume that it's at "/
Users/<user-name>", and that ain't always so. For example, I have a
network-based home folder that's somewhere totally other.
