Hi Nino, the list,
I do not know if this is related, but I get that with files stored on a
Windows formatted MemoryStick, when I share a Windows volume, when I
have a Windows created CD / DVD from Macintosh.
BTW: I do not saw that with Windows Personal Sharing volumes (I think).
One thing is sure is there is an exception to the paragraph above rule :(
You want to get the modification date ? Ask for it, the bug appears only
with the creation date.
Worst, if you make a search in the Finder - using Command-F - with
created today (or something like that), you get these dates (they are
looking like they are created in 2038 or 2048 - don't remember -)...
Fortunately, this bug like the tons of others will be removed in 10.5
(Apple told us that, isn't it ? The quality we deserve...)

Hi,
I've noticed that Creation Date on an SMB mounted volume are always
1/1/1904, or better this appears when showing files as list because
in the file info window this value is "--" while accessing the same
file from a windows shows correct creation date.
There is any alternative way in applescript to get this information,
other then asking the finder for file creation date?
What I need to discover is if a file has changed since it was created.
Thanks in advance for any help
