Applying Passwords to PDF Files

  • Subject: Applying Passwords to PDF Files

I'm trying to find a way to add passwords to PDF files. Here's the scenario. A friend of mine has a small print publication. He would like to distribute it as a PDF, with a unique password for each subscriber. Surely, there must be a way to do this via AppleScript. I would create a password-protected PDF and generate an email to each subscriber with a PDF attachment. The rest of it should be fairly easy. I just need to know how to apply a password to a PDF.

Thanks,

Jon
