AppleScript for Integrated Development Environment (IDE)

I've been using AppleScript more and more for sw development purposes and I'm writing to see if anyone has written similar scripts.

1. I'm tired of my old IDE, so I'm beginning to use BBEdit. I am writing script to integrate BBEdit with the Finder in column view which represents a project. Press Command-R on the keyboard and it locates the closest relevant build file, launch file, or www index.html file automatically based on the path in the frontmost Finder window.
2. I'm also writing some scripts which through browser syntax or runtime errors back to your editor during development.

Anyone else using AppleScript to simply glue their editor, browser, the Finder together? Can you point me to any existing libs or resources for doing the sorts of things I'm trying to do.

Thanks,
Philip
