Good morning everyone.

I have a script that is a droplet but also runs as a standard application.  What I want to be able to do is add some code that will watch when the script is run as an application to see if a key is pressed on the keyboard (like the option key or the shift key). If the key I specify is pressed I want the script to respond differently than if no keys are pressed.

I have seen some people doing this with third party Apple Script plugins but I want to know if this can be done in AppleScript by default using System Events or something of that nature.

Any takers?
