Why? That's what rules are for. Apple has given you a perfectly good tool for the task, but it appears that you want to use a screwdriver where a hammer would be more appropriate?


The on-the-fly creation of folders based on the List-Id header would be also an idea to consider.

Did you try the script I posted? As I said, it would require a bit of tweaking to get it to work on the fly instead of from a selection.
