Hi Emmanuel,

However, I am trying to run this script from inside an installer for my product. I don't want to install Satimage.osax into the systems's or user's Scripting Additions folder as part of my product, and the documentation for Satimage does not indicate if there is a way to use Satimage without doing that.

I'm no specialist, but I think you can include an osax in a "Scripting Additions" (*with* space) folder inside your app's bundle to have it available to your app.

Satimage does look like a really nice and useful piece of work, though.

<blush> thanks much </blush>

Good information! THANKS! I'm forwarding this info back to the AppleScript mailing list because somebody else might find it useful as well.

I don't think I'll do it for these particular products though. The script is only needed briefly and is a relatively small part of the installer, Satimage.osax is 1.5 MB and my C program is 32 KB.

For some later product or installer that actually relies more on AppleScript, I'll consider it.

Take care,

       - Rick
