Don't you think that some users will be annoied if something lands in
their trash. Even worse: Some users might have moved some things to
trash and by the time they noticed, your code already emptied the trash.
So this is what I call "not clean".
Just what is the problem you're having with the Finder's commands or
the unix "rm" command?
The problem is (and I am repeating myself here the thousands (no... I'm
exaggerating) time): I'm just lamenting that there is no pure
Applescript way to move a file and give it a new name in one step. But
this discussion is over (for me).
Using "rm" is possible but for my originating problem not needed as I
can use "cp" which allows what I need.
OTOH: Using "do shell scrip" is nothing I like to do often. Guess about
all the potential security risks if you don't check enough eforehand.
But that would be another therad.
