How could I write an AS script that opens a file if the filename is

folder? Any other ideas? Thanks.

What if there were more than one file in the folder? Here is a script that will open every file at the top level of a folder:

set the chosenFolder to choose folder
tell application "Finder"
	open files of the chosenFolder
end tell
