I'll admit that my first instinct is to recommend switching to Firefox, which probably either already does what you want out of the box (e.g. "Open this folder of bookmarks all at once in tabs"), or has a ready-made plugin you can install to do it, or will let you write something to do it in _javascript_.  But that's all clearly off-topic, so moving on.

Safari's dictionary does look pretty pro forma.  You can tell it to show the bookmarks window, but that's about it.  I
