Thanks, Rob. Bummer that safari isn't scriptable to a greater degree.

I know I asked this before, but I'll ask, again. Is there any way
to use AS to operate on the bookmarks within Safari?
Hi Clint,
I don't think you can do it directly in AppleScript (unless someone
knows better!) but there are a couple of workarounds I can think of.
You might be able to do this using UI Scripting - a nasty solution,
I admit, but if it gets the job done then so be it... There's some
info that you might find useful here;

...specifically the sample code.
Alternatively, if you look in ~/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari/
Bookmarks/ (in Leopard anyway - can't check here for previous
versions) then you'll find a heap of bookmark files. By reading the
files you can get URL and name of each bookmark.
I can't see a way of determining which folder each bookmark lives
in, although that info clearly must be stored *somewhere*. I suppose
you could bodge it by changing the name of your bookmarks. So for
example, prefix the name of each bookmark to run on Tuesday with
"Tues - " or something.
I hope this gives you some clues at least!
Regards
Rob
