Hi Wes,
I'll try it tomorrow. I've been looking at the dictionary
information, but I don't have enough experience with applescript to
translate the dict into code yet.
In my opinion, learning how to read an application's scripting
dictionary is the most fundamental step to take for anyone starting
out (or frustrated with) AppleScript. Knowing how to read an
application's dictionary takes all (well, most) of the guess work out
of writing scripts.
I wrote a tutorial some time ago along these lines. It uses
AppleWorks as the scriptable app, but the principles are universal. I
really need to update the tutorial to use something else, such as
iWork. Anyway, you can view this old but relevant tutorial here:
http://www.tandb.com.au/applescript/tutorial/
in particular from where it starts to discuss the dictionary and how
to interpret it:
