Would someone please enlighten this dinosaur (trilobite?) as to the

Computer tech support jargon. LART is an acronym for Luser Attitude
Readjustment Tool.
The term "luser" is, perhaps transparently, a portmanteau of "loser"
(which it sounds identical to) and "user", and refers to a
particularly ignorant or rude client. The archetypical LART - which
is only ever applied metaphorically, one hopes - is a baseball bat.
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luser and follow the links at the
bottom for even more condescending slang from the world of computer
tech support.
