It's strange that you got it to work on your machine, but it didn't
work on mine, even after I enclosed the top-level statements in an on
run ... end run block.
Sorry if my cosmetic changes somehow have hidden the important piece.
It works here because of the "ignoring application responses" block in
the calling script...
