Way back in System 9, in list view, you used to be able to highlight all the
contents inside a Finder window - then hit: option / apple / Left arrow, and
it would close all the open folders within the main folder. And the bigger
issue is that all this sub folders would remember their position as closed
to next time the window was opened!
As we know - OSX does not perform this duty - and although it closes all the
Windows - it does not remember their position next time you open the Main
folder.
I'm wondering if there is any kind of AppleScript coding that could make all
these windows remember their closed position? If it would have to be a loop
- then I wonder if it would be possible to make it a quick process ( with
Main folders that have lots of content - it might take awhile) to remain
practical?
Question: is something like this possible - if so - and please forgive this
nubie - how would I go about creating this?
