coming to you live from WWDC,
the only thing anyone knows at the moment is that there is no iphone SDK, you build AJAX web-apps instead, and use them through Safari.
So I'd be leaning towards an answer of no.
Depending on how the iPhone connects, AppleScript may be able to be used on the phone, if the phone is connected to a mac though, similar to how you can use AppleScript to work with servers and other connected devices. No official word on whether this is possible though.
